Schumacher: Racing Part Caused Badoer's Accident

German Michael Schumacher said on Monday that Luca Badoer's serious crash in testing in Barcelona eight days ago was caused by a part used on his championship-winning car.
Italian test driver Badoer's Ferrari flipped over a tyre-barrier at the Circuit de Catalunya after a component on his car failed during the testing session.
Schumacher insisted he is not concerned over the incident and added that the component of the car which failed was used on the machine he drove to victory in Monza and Suzuka last season.
"I'm not too worried because all of these cars are prototype cars and any team has these accidents," Schumacher said. "The piece that failed was a racing piece from Monza and Suzuka.
"We've raced that piece, so we feel very comfortable. You can feel comfortable, but there are always question marks, because these cars aren't built by computers, they're built by human hands.
"We're all humans and we all sometimes do something that isn't precise - everybody does."
