Schumacher: No Launch Control Problems at Monaco

Michael Schumacher has predicted that there will be no repeat of the launch control problems in Monaco next weekend that left four cars stranded on the grid in Austria.

Michael Schumacher has predicted that there will be no repeat of the launch control problems in Monaco next weekend that left four cars stranded on the grid in Austria.

Mika Hakkinen, Nick Heidfeld and Jordan duo Jarno Trulli and Heinz-Harald Frentzen all stalled on the grid at the A1-Ring, but Schumacher believes that there will not be a repeat of the scene on the streets of Monte Carlo.

The German driver said: "It's always dangerous if a car stops on the grid, but I mean, when Mika stopped in Brazil there was no launch control involved.

"Sure it looked a bit strange in Austria, because four cars stopped at the same time, but I think all four cars had the same problem. The grip level in Austria was very high, nobody was prepared for that, but in the future, be sure, everybody will be."

Schumacher, however, is still taking precautions that the problem does hamper his own progress after his slow start in Austria.

He added: "We know and understand very well what the problem was for us in Austria. So for sure we will do everything to avoid this in the future."
