Schumacher Looking for More Wins

World Champion Michael Schumacher has warned his rivals that there will be no let-up from Ferrari for the remainder of the season and insisted he is fully focused on securing the manufacturers' championship.

World Champion Michael Schumacher has warned his rivals that there will be no let-up from Ferrari for the remainder of the season and insisted he is fully focused on securing the manufacturers' championship.

Schumacher lifted his fifth world title in France two weeks ago and went on to score a record-equalling win in Germany last Sunday, his ninth of the season. But the German admitted that he still wants to win more races for the team's sake.

"We will fight for the Constructors' Championship and we want to win more races," Schumacher said. "These are our objectives now and I think we will still see some fantastic racing.

"Our chances look good, because the team is doing an exceptional job, as was proved last Sunday with a great result, even though we had already won the Drivers' Championship. With a team like this, you can't help but win.

"I am already looking forward to the next race, because we can tackle it without too much pressure and enjoy the rest of the season. I simply love racing, I like duelling and the feeling of driving a car on the limit."

He added that scoring his first German Grand Prix victory for Ferrari at Hockenheim last weekend was the perfect way to celebrate his record-equalling fifth world title.

"I absolutely wanted to win the German Grand Prix, so that my fans would really have something to celebrate," he added. "I am particularly happy to have done it, even though it's a shame my brother Ralf could not have finished second, because of technical problems on his car.

"It would have been even better for the fans, but we can work on that for the future. I hope the celebrations at the circuit were as good as our private party. Above all, I hope we all have a great time at the next race in Hungary."
