Salo getting used to Ferrari life

Mika Salo says he is starting to feel at home on 'planet Ferrari' despite

his disastrous debut in Austria.
'Things are a lot easier this weekend, I am not starting everything from
zero,' he said after going 7th fastest in practice at Hockenheim.

'Austria was a disaster. I spun off on the first day and then hit somebody
on race day. That's really what you don't need to do.

'This weekend has started better and I am more comfortable at the team. I
know everyone better so if I need something I know who to ask.'

Asked to describe how it felt to step up from a midfield team to a
championship contender like Ferrari, he replied:

'It's not a planet I am
used to so I am just enjoying it.'

Already, the Finn says, the calls for advice to Schumacher have stopped.

'He told me to call if I needed something and I did in Austria but I have
not done it this week I feel comfortable in the car now. There's nothing
he can help me with now.
'He told me to just drive the car and that the team would know what to do. That is very true.

'Last weekend was just learning. Getting the first bit of performance out
of the car is easy but finding the last bit is the difficult bit and I'm not
on that level yet. Hopefully I will be there this weekend."

'The last little bit is missing, and it takes more than one or two races
to find that, even from me,' he added.
