Red Bull Aim to Keep BAR Behind
Red Bull's sporting director Christian Horner was happy his team managed to stay ahead of rivals BAR following the Turkish Grand Prix
Despite being first and second to go out in qualifying on Saturday, Scot David Coulthard and Austrian teammate Christian Klien had a positive race, finishing in seventh and eighth places respectively.
The three points allowed Red Bull to stay ahead of BAR in the Constructors' Championship with five races remaining, and Horner said the team are determined to do their best to stay there.
"After the penalty of having to go out to qualify first and second here, to finish the weekend in seventh and eighth is pretty good," he said.
"It also means we maintain sixth place in the Constructors' Championship which is great, especially at this stage in the season, and we'll certainly be fighting very hard in the next few races to stay there. The strategic team, the engineers and the mechanics all did an excellent job today.
"The pit stops were fast and it was a strong, disciplined performance. The drivers did a superb job and I'm pleased with the result."
Red Bull have scored 27 points to BAR's 24.
