Ralf Predicts More Ferrari Dominance

Williams driver Ralf Schumacher has predicted that the Ferrari team will be unstoppable at Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix.

Williams driver Ralf Schumacher has predicted that the Ferrari team will be unstoppable at Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix.

World Champion Michael Schumacher finished on top of the timesheets in Friday's practice at the Hungaroring, more than six tenths of a second ahead of his teammate Rubens Barrichello and nearly a whole second ahead of his brother Ralf in the first of the Williams.

Ferrari driver Schumacher, who has won nine out of 12 races this year, and Barrichello will be hard to beat on Sunday, according to Ralf.

"Our Friday tasks went alright, but you cannot read too much into the free practice times, whether you are third or last," said Schumacher. "We have gone through our set-up programme and we have already made our tyre choice.

"I think that in the race that Ferrari will be superior to every team, but for us it is important to keep an eye on McLaren."

Juan Pablo Montoya, currently lying in second place in the Championship, struggled in today's session with his BMW-powered FW24 car. The Colombian, who is still looking for his first win of the 2002 season, finished down in a disappointing 16th position.

"We are suffering from low grip levels and I cannot say my day went well," he said. "However we have completed some preparation work for the race and now we will concentrate on our grid position, which is very important here."
