After a terrible start to the season, Williams driver Ralf Schumacher said that he travelled straight from the tragedy-marred Australian Grand Prix to Malaysia for the next round this weekend.
German driver Schumacher was involved in the accident with British American Racing's Jacques Villeneuve in Australia that led to the death of a race marshal.
He crashed out of the race and said his focus has been on Malaysia since the traumatic events in Melbourne.
"I am glad to be in Malaysia. I flew here straight from the trauma of the events of Melbourne," said Schumacher.
Schumacher, speaking about the race, said he enjoys driving on the Sepang track and thinks it has one of the best safety standards of all the circuits.
"The Malaysian circuit is one of the most modern of the Formula One calendar not only due to the nature of the track itself but also to its great facilities such as the garage and the paddock, which are a true model for all other race tracks.
"With regard to safety, this circuit represents the highest standards. The gravel traps for example are the latest generation. Nevertheless, the Malaysian Grand Prix is one of the hardest races because of the hot temperatures and the huge humidity and I also find it quite difficult to find the ideal line on this track."
Schumacher's teammate, Juan Pablo Montoya, in his rookie season in Formula One will have his first taste of the Sepang circuit, which he believes will be a difficult one to learn.
"I have never raced on the Sepang circuit and it looks a quite difficult circuit to learn but I think we should be all right," said Montoya
"I have spent the last week watching on-board camera recordings of last year's race, I've studied the telemetry data and have also driven many laps on video games I feel ready for it."
