Ralf Aiming to Delay Michael's Title Celebrations

Williams driver Ralf Schumacher is planning to give his brother Michael a run for his money at the Hungarian Grand Prix next Sunday.

The elder Schumacher could clinch his fourth world crown, the second in a row with the Ferrari team, if he increases his lead in the standings by three points in Sunday's race at the Hungaroring circuit.

But Ralf, who has scored three wins so far this year including the German Grand Prix three weeks ago, will try to make things as hard as possible for his brother this weekend.

"Whether Michael wins the Championship here or in the next race, the case is pretty clear," Ralf said. "As he has such a big gap I don't think he will lose it but the two of us will certainly try to win this race and make it a bit more difficult for him to win the title."

The young German, currently lying six points behind McLaren's David Coulthard in the Championship, also admitted he did not expect to be able to fight for second place at the start of the year. Now, however, Schumacher feels confident of surpassing the Scot.

"At the start of the season I never thought finishing second would be possible," he added. "If I had said so everyone would have thought I was crazy. It looks pretty good at the moment but then we still have five races to go, and this circuit is more suited to McLaren than it is for us. We will see."
