Raikkonen Hampered by Electrical Problem

Finn Kimi Raikkonen suffered an electrical fault that hindered his second practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona.
The McLaren driver, who has been plagued by mechanical problems so far this season, stopped his car on track during his second session, the team saying a short circuit in an ignition coil had caused an electrical fault.
Raikkonen had been forced to start the last two races from the back of the grid after having been forced to change his Mercedes engine. The Finn, however, escaped that fate and set the ninth fastest time of the session despite his problems.
"Everything was going according to plan until the end of the second session when I felt something was wrong with the car," said Raikkonen. "The team told me to stop immediately and switch everything off which I did and parked the car on the outside of turn three.
"However, we did manage to get through our tyre evaluation programme and I'm reasonable happy with the car."
Scot David Coulthard was 13th quickest in the second McLaren.
"I went through a normal Friday programme and completed 23 laps," said Coulthard. "I still don't have the balance I would like and therefore we still have some work to do. However there are two free practice sessions tomorrow which gives us time to further improve our package."
