Massa has faith in new Ferrari

Felipe Massa believes that Ferrari have produced a good car for this season even if it is different to the cars of their rivals

It has been noted in particular that Ferrari have gone for a car with a much longer wheelbase than the majority of the field, but Massa doesn't feel that the team have got it wrong.

"Before we started testing, a lot of people made comments about our new car," Massa told his personal website.

"They were saying it looked very different to the others and they were asking if we had got it wrong, but it's not important what people outside the team say."

The Brazilian sees no reason why the design team that produced last year's car would suddenly fashion a car that is off the pace.

"The new car is the work of the same people who produced the 2006 car," he said, "so why should they not be able to do a good job again?

"If the car looks different to last year's then it is because we felt that was the way to go."
