Jordan Hopes for Progress after Summer Break

Team chief Eddie Jordan is looking to Formula One's three-week break to revitilise his team following another disappointing result at the German Grand Prix.

Team chief Eddie Jordan is looking to Formula One's three-week break to revitilise his team following another disappointing result at the German Grand Prix.

Italian Giorgio Pantano was the only Jordan driver to make it to the end of the Hockenheim race, although the rookie was over three laps down after being hit by a puncture. His German teammate Nick Heidfeld was forced to retire on lap 44 after struggling with handling problems.

Jordan said the break before the Hungarian Grand Prix would be used to analyse the team's situation and try to move forward.

"It was a tough day for our drivers, twelve races into a demanding season for us and F1 in general," said Jordan.

"The three week gap between this race and the next one in Hungary gives the team time to closely examine our situation and see how we can progress and it also offers the opportunity for most to have a few days of much needed rest.

"We are looking forward to returning in Budapest, revitalised and ready to keep fighting our way forward."
