Jordan Confident of Points in Hungary

Team boss Eddie Jordan is confident his Silverstone-based squad will enjoy a strong Hungarian Grand Prix next weekend at the twisty Hungaroring circuit.

Jordan, and especially their Italian driver Giancarlo Fisichella, shone at the German Grand Prix last month but failed to materialise their potential due to problems during the race.

Both Jordan and the British American Racing team were boosted in Germany by the improved performance of the Japanese power unit, and Irishman Jordan is optimistic of getting some points next Sunday.

"We are showing potential at the moment, particularly with the latest development from Honda on the engine, and this weekend we need to turn that promise into results," said Jordan in the team's preview.

"I believe we have been unfortunate not to score points in recent races so if we can produce a solid performance, I am confident we can take something away from this race."

Jordan announced that F3000 driver Zsolt Baumgartner will become the first Hungarian to drive a Formula One car when he takes to the track with the Jordan EJ12 for a demonstration run on Sunday morning in front of his home crow.

21-year old Baumgartner currently races for the Nordic Racing team and is yet to score a point in the F3000 championship.
