Jordan admits to buy-out talks

Eddie Jordan has revealed that he could sell a major share in his Formula 1 team to foreign investors, and still remain at the helm of the cash-strapped outfit.

Jordan hinted at the possibility of Far Eastern investors taking a stake in the team, according to a story in this week's AUTOSPORT Magazine. A deal could lead to the creation of a national grand prix team.

If any foreign buy-out was completed, Jordan would likely continue to run the team from his Silverstone base, even if the new owners' headquarters were situated in another country.

"It is not difficult to have a Chinese team in F1," said Jordan. "Maybe interests in Macau, Hong Kong or elsewhere can buy an existing team and run it from there. I'm currently looking at something like that."

Jordan was in Macau last weekend to see one of his cars demonstrated by Ralph Firman at the famous Formula 3 Grand Prix.
