Jo Ramirez Joins Atlas F1

Atlas F1 is proud to welcome to its magazine staff Jo Ramirez, former McLaren team co-ordinator and the longest running worker in Formula One.

Atlas F1 is proud to welcome to its magazine staff Jo Ramirez, former McLaren team co-ordinator and the longest running worker in Formula One.

Ramirez will write an exclusive bi-weekly column for Atlas F1, appearing regularly in the Grand Prix Preview issues of the Atlas F1 Magazine. His column will include both insights on the latest Grand Prix and memories and anecdotes from his 40 years of experience in the sport. His first column will appear after the Australian Grand Prix.

Ramirez began working in Formula One in 1961, when he arrived to Europe from Mexico with his childhood friend Ricardo Rodriguez. He worked as a mechanic and a team manager with Dan Gurney, Emerson Fittipaldi, Ken Tyrrell and many others, before making McLaren his home for 18 years - where he worked as team co-ordinator between the years 1983 and 2001 and where he made life-long friendships with the sport's top drivers. Ramirez retired from F1 after the end of the 2001 season.

With his involvement in Atlas F1, the Journal's subscribers will receive an exclusive and unparalleled view into the world of Formula One, past and present. His passion, his knowledge and his ties in the sport are unmatched by any other F1 columnist on the Internet, once again enforcing Atlas F1's position as the leader in quality and in-depth online coverage of Formula One Motorsport.
