Jaguar are Getting There, Says Webber

Australian Mark Webber believes that his Jaguar team can still improve further this season after driving to three points finish in four races with seventh place at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Australian Mark Webber believes that his Jaguar team can still improve further this season after driving to three points finish in four races with seventh place at the Canadian Grand Prix.

The result continued Webber's recent run of form as well as Jaguar's resurgence from three years in the doldrums, but with the Milton Keynes-based team lying in eighth position in the Constructors' Championship he knows more improvements are needed.

"I think we're just happy to be there at the moment," said Webber. "Of course we want to get more performance, but we're still so green behind the ears and there's still so much stuff coming out that we can improve on.

"Last race we were walking around with our tails between our legs with both cars out very early, and we've got to be careful not to peak too early."

Teammate Antonio Pizzonia also made it to the finish in Montreal as he finished 10th and, after both cars exited early on in Monaco, Webber believes Jaguar are finally finding some consistency and reliability.

"It's taken Jaguar a long time to get in the position they're in and now have lot of stability," said Webber. "We can do okay over a lap, but the depth of the team comes in over the race distances, pitstops, all sorts of things. That's getting there."
