Honda wait on Button's clearance

Button was forced to miss this afternoon's second practice session after a recurrence of the injury he suffered in his first corner accident at the US Grand Prix last month.

The British driver has gone to a London hospital, where he will undergo checks before he is given the green light to continue to take part in the Grand Prix weekend.

Team boss Nick Fry said he is hopeful Button will be fit to continue driving, but said a decision will only be made once the team see the hospital report.

"Jenson had a sharp pain up his back as he went into Stowe over the bumps down there this morning, he continued to drive but had it a couple of times more," Fry told autosport.com.

"We decided it was better for him not to drive this afternoon, and he has gone down to hospital in London to have a proper scan and we will make a decision this afternoon or early this evening when we get a report, and then decide what we do tomorrow. Hopefully he can race, but we will see."

Button was replaced by test driver Christian Klien in the afternoon session.
