Head says Verstappen should admit his guilt

Patrick Head says Arrows driver Jos Verstappen should admit he is at fault over the accident which cost Juan Pablo Montoya his maiden Formula 1 victory.

But he said BMW-Williams would just have to go out and set the record straight with another stirring performance at the next round in Imola in a fortnight's time.

The Colombian was comfortably in control of the lead when the Dutchman drove into the back of him while being lapped.

"These guys should hold their hands up if they are at fault but they don't seem to do that these days," said Head. "Juan Pablo was in control of the race until he got hit from behind.

"On the road it's the responsibility of the driver behind. It is a well-known fact and I don't think there's anything to discuss about it. We know we've just got to get out there now and do a good job at Imola."

There was double agony for Head because the team's other driver Ralf Schumacher was also involved in an altercation which saw his chances of success evaporate.
