Frentzen Happy with Top Ten Position

German Heinz-Harald Frentzen was happy after recovering from a poor Friday qualifying to set the 10th fastest time in Saturday's grid-deciding session for the Spanish Grand Prix.

"I'm pleased that my optimism for the effect of the changes we made this morning has proved justified," said the German driver. "The car felt better and the balance was pretty good. I had a little problem with a brake vibration during the pre-qualifying warm-up, but everything was okay for my run and I'm happy with 10th place."

Frentzen, who had struggled for pace on Friday to finish in a disappointing 16th position lifted Sauber's hopes of a point-scoring finish by winding up in the top ten. The Swiss outfit enjoyed a better session altogether, with Frentzen's teammate Nick Heidfeld much happier with his C22's handling.

Heidfeld, who had also struggled on Friday, posted the 14th quickest time today.

"The car was much better than this morning, for sure," said Heidfeld. "The balance was the best that it has been all weekend. I lost a little bit of time in the middle sector, but otherwise it was a good run and I'm happier than I was yesterday."
