Fisichella: no issues with Alonso

Giancarlo Fisichella says there are no problems between Fernando Alonso and him following the Spaniard's comments on Thursday

World champion Alonso was critical of Renault, saying he had felt deserted by the team in races this year.

The Spaniard was also unhappy that he had to fight against Fisichella during last weekend's Chinese Grand Prix, saying it was risky considering his championship situation.

Fisichella said they had talked about it, the Roman claiming there were no problems between them.

"We had a chat just after the FIA press conference and I spoke with Fernando and he told me that he said: 'I said something but it wasn't against you. You did a fantastic job. If I have a problem with you then I will come to you. I won't say it to the press because that is stupid.'

"So there is no problem at all between us and we are just concentrating for the weekend which is really important, to score more points than Ferrari and do the best.

"It is a closed (issue) for sure. And it wasn't open for me," Fisichella said.
