Fisichella aiming high for Jordan

The Italian ace has a very successful record at Montreal, and he has featured on the podium there more than at any other track in his career to date with Jordan and Benetton. He is also aiming to build on the points he scored in Austria and Monaco

"I'm looking forward to Canada, especially after two good races," said Fisichella. "This has been a great race for me in the past as I've been on the podium four times. My first podium in Formula 1 was in Canada '97 with Jordan, and I'm looking forward to racing with Jordan again here because the car looks good.

"I'm particularly confident now that we have scored a few points and I think we just need to improve our performance in qualifying as the car looks very competitive in the race," he added.

Jordan's engineering guru Gary Anderson says that one of the biggest factors in this weekend's race will be brakes.

"We have a new material for the brakes, but to optimise that, it really needs to be put to the test on the circuit so we will wait and see," he said. "We will be on the limit with the brakes as usual in Canada but hopefully we should be okay."
