Ferrari President Thanks Barrichello
Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has showed his gratitude to Rubens Barrichello following the Brazilian's decision to leave the team
Barrichello, who joined Ferrari in 2000, will drive for the BAR team next year after he ended his relationship with the Italian squad one year before his contract expired.
And during the inauguration of the new Ferrari store in Milan, di Montezemolo called Barrichello on stage to thank him for his work.
"I want to give you my best wishes for two reasons: because you'll enjoy a happy event in Brazil in one week's time (his wife will give birth), and because since you've come to Ferrari we've always won the Constructors' Championship. This happened also thanks to you," di Montezemolo was quoted as saying by La Repubblica.
"Besides, I understand that to have new motivations is important so I give you my best wishes. They will be even better if at Monza on Sunday or in another Grand Prix this season you'll bring a Ferrari to victory."
