Technical director Ross Brawn praised Ferrari's resurgence after Brazilian driver Rubens Barrichello converted his pole position into a race win at the British Grand Prix.
Barrichello slipped to third place after a sluggish start, but fought back to take the win after a number of daring overtaking manoeuvres saw him stave off challenges from Juan Pablo Montoya and Kimi Raikkonen.
Barrichello's teammate and reigning champion Michael Schumacher finished one place off a podium finish to maintain his place at the top of the Drivers' Championship standings.
Brawn was full of praise for the pair, especially after seeing Barrichello's first win of the season put him in contact with the battle for the Drivers' Championship.
"He was strong in testing and all weekend," said Brawn. "The pitstop was chaotic and we held him up quite rightly because there were too many cars in the pitlane. That didn't seem to be the case with the other teams who just let their cars go regardless. That needs to be looked at. But when he was out on the track he was fantastic.
"Michael was very good given what we left him after the pitstops and he gained very important points and only lost one point to Kimi. It was a very important race for Michael. It was a great race and it shows you can have overtaking in Formula One - a wonderful race."
