Barrichello happy with second spot
Rubens Barrichello denied he is disappointed after failing to claim pole by less than a tenth of a second
The Brazilian topped the times midway through Saturday's qualifying session, only to see pole snatched from him by team mate Michael Schumacher.
After failing to improve his position on his second or third run he came desperately close on his final attempt as the clock ran down to zero.
But as he lapped in 1m36.382s he did move up a place to grab second from Schumacher's younger brother Ralf to make it an all-Ferrari front row for the second race in succession.
"I'm not disappointed," he said afterwards. "It feels great when you have got a good car and it is working well.
"I made mistakes on my first two runs because I made some changes and they didn't go my way," continued Barrichello. "But after that I got in the right direction and I felt much more comfortable with the car.
"I knew there was more to come and I had everything for the last run. It was quite close and I am happy with my place."
And the Ferrari number two driver is aiming to push his team mate Michael Schumacher like never before in Sunday's race.
"I am on the pace and giving my friend here [Michael Schumacher] a tighter rivalry than last year."
