Barrichello blames Ralf for Brazilian shunt
Local hero Rubens Barrichello has blamed Ralf Schumacher for knocking him out of the Brazilian Grand Prix, ending a dismal weekend for the 28-year-old Paulista
The duo clashed for the second race out of three when the Ferrari ran into the back of the BMW-Williams, ripping off Schumacher's rear wing and his own front left wheel on the third lap.
"Ralf was trying to overtake someone on the inside and just changed the line completely and braked," said Barrichello. "It was just like what he did with Heinz-Harald Frentzen in Malaysia."
The Brazilian suggested that the sporting regulations would have to be more closely applied with regard to the number of times drivers are allowed to weave on a straight.
"I think after this afternoon you really have to think about what you can do on the race track," he said. "I was just there, being quiet on my side and I was not expecting someone to come from the other side of the track and brake in front of me."
He insisted: "I did not brake late."
However, Ralf claimed at the Malaysian Grand Prix that Barrichello's driving was suspect, and claimed the Brazilian would have to curb his aggression, after a collision between the two put Ralf down the order.
The younger Schumacher blamed his brother's team mate for the accident and added: "If you drive like that these things come back on you one day."
It was a disappointing end to Barrichello's home race, which he had started in the spare after his car had broken down on the inspection lap.
