Barrichello Blames Press Over Schumacher Rift

Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello has blamed the press for the stir caused by his comments at the Malaysian Grand Prix, where he was said to be annoyed at his teammate Michael Schumacher over a dangerous move during the race.
World champion Schumacher overtook the Brazilian right after the safety car left the track in Malaysia, and Barrichello described the manoeuvre as "a bit sad" as he thought it was a risky move at that point of the race.
The comments caused a stir in the Ferrari camp, and Barrichello was even asked nor to talk to the press before this Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix.
However, Barrichello has insisted he was misquoted, and that he has no problems with Schumacher.
"I don't have any problems with Michael Schumacher," the Brazilian said. "I already talked to him in Malaysia and later on the phone. This is something the press has made up. I will have to limit my answers to 'yes', 'no' and 'maybe'.
"My phrases are shortened and then they are translated, especially in Italy, so they have a different meaning.
"I never said that Ferrari works only for Michael Schumacher and not for me."
Barrichello also admitted he is concerned this situation could get him into trouble when he starts the negotiations to renew his contract with Ferrari later this year.
"I will start re-negotiating my contract in July and if I am hurt by this episode, it will be because of things I never said."
