Barrichello Aiming to Win in Monaco

Brazilian Rubens Barrichello is still aiming for a win in this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix despite his Ferrari team openly admitting they will use team orders again if necessary.

Brazilian Rubens Barrichello is still aiming for a win in this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix despite his Ferrari team openly admitting they will use team orders again if necessary.

It seems likely that Barrichello, who moved over to hand Schumacher victory at the last race in Austria, will only be able to win if his Ferrari teammate retires or is more than one place behind him.

But the 29-year old Brazilian is determined to show, as he did at the controversial Austrian Grand Prix, that he is competitive enough to take victory if team orders do not come into play.

"I will be doing my best to win in Monaco," insisted Barrichello. "I know that I am driving well enough to win races and what happened in Austria is the past. I can go to Monaco with my head up, looking to have a seriously good weekend.

"I am still tackling the season with an open mind and I am going through a very good period in my life in general. Austria was an amazing weekend and everyone could see how well it was going for me on Friday and Saturday."

Barrichello has now finished second in two of the season's six races and retired from the rest, while Schumacher has won five times and has completed every race since last year's German Grand Prix, 11 races ago.
