Montoya Still on Top at Barcelona - Morning Session

Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya continued to dominate in the morning of the second day of testing at the Barcelona circuit, where four Formula One teams were in action today.

Montoya had already posted the quickest time of the day yesterday, but the Colombian lapped nearly a whole second quicker this morning at the wheel of the BMW-powered FW24. The Williams driver finished ahead of Scot David Coulthard, whose McLaren team joined the test today and who also worked with test driver Alexander Wurz.

Toyota also joined the Barcelona test today with both their drivers Olivier Panis and Cristiano da Matta. The Frenchman posted the fifth quickest time with the new TF103, while da Matta finished eighth with the hybrid TF102B after completing 28 laps.

Sauber drivers Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Nick Heidfeld continued with the development of the new Petronas-powered C22, which made its track debut yesterday.

Olivier Beretta got back to the wheel of the Williams car today after having acquainted himself with the FW24 last week, posting the slowest time of the morning session.
