Trulli Confident of Challenging Big Two

Jordan driver Jarno Trulli is confident that his improving Silverstone-based team have what it takes to challenge the might of Ferrari and McLaren for race wins towards the end of the year.

The Italian has brought his car home fifth during the past two races but he believes that Jordan will be good enough for victory if they continue their progression this season.

Jordan have amassed ten points in the opening four rounds, and remain well on course to surpass last season's total of 17.

"It's a bit too early to talk, but I must say that the car is a good base to start from, so we could develop it through the season," Trulli said.

"We don't look to be so far from Ferrari, and sometimes we look like we're competitive with McLaren, so it might be that during the season and we might have some good results.

"It might be that this season we can have a highlight somewhere. For me last year it was Monaco and Spa, and this year I hope to do it again."
