Massa Wraps Up Valencia Test for Sauber

The Sauber Formula One team completed today a three-day testing session at the Valencia circuit, where the Swiss squad worked with their new C23 car.

Today it was Brazilian Felipe Massa who debuted with the car after taking over from Italian teammate Giancarlo Fisichella. Massa, who yesterday was in action with the old C22, completed a total of 65 laps with a fastest time of 1:11.271.

His session, however, came to an end before it was scheduled due to a problem with the fuel supply.

"I must say that the new car feels pretty good," said Massa. "In comparison to last year's Sauber the downforce is better and the grip level is good too. Unfortunately we could not finish our Bridgestone tyre programme due to the problem with the fuel supply, but I'm happy that I could run some laps at least and learn something about the car.

"Although the heavy wind gave us completely different weather conditions than yesterday, I am happy with what we have done today and look forward to Barcelona."
