Jordan pair disappointed with pointless race

It was a disappointing weekend for the team, whose drivers looked as though they could win something from the race.

Heninz-Harald Frentzen was running eighth when he was forced to retire because of a draft shaft failure, and Damon Hill just missed out on the points in seventh.

He had Jarno Trulli in his sights over the final couple of laps, but could not catch the Prost driver.

The former world champion said, 'The best part of the race was going around Rubens [Barrichello]. I had been trying to catch up with him in the middle part of the race, but I just missed out on making up enough time to get him in the pit stops, so it was satisfying to overtake him.

'I just had to find the place where I would lose the least amount of time. The race itself was not as difficult as I had expected, but there was not enough advantage in running on hard tyres."

Frentzen added, 'It was disappointing. It was a hard race this time. I was not able to press Ralf [Schumacher] and the soft tyres, which many of our competitors were on, did not seem to drop off as much as we had hoped.'
