Happy Trulli Not Making Predictions

The Italian put his team's troubles caused by Ralf Schumacher's accident and the Michelin tyre dramas behind him to set a time that even pre-race favourite Kimi Raikkonen could not match.

"Up to now has been a bit of mixed emotions," explained Trulli. "We have done limited mileage but done all we could do, so I am really happy with the outcome of today's qualifying.

"We have done very few laps in the previous day and this morning so we are trying to guess a little about the balance."

With uncertainty over how the Michelin tyre situation will develop overnight, Trulli knows that he is facing a difficult evening with his team to ponder their options.

"Today we have some problems and some decisions need to be taken for tomorrow's race," he explained.

"To be honest it is very difficult to talk about tomorrow's race. We still need some data from Michelin and set-up data about what we can do and cannot do, but this is a great day for Toyota to claim their first pole position."
