Barca 4: Schu flies
Michael Schumacher topped the timesheets on the final day of testing at Barcelona posting his quickest time of the year at the Spanish circuit. The German completed a massive 109 laps in the F2004 concluding the tyre test and development work that was begun by test driver Luca Badoer on Tuesday
Badoer was fourth quickest with Renault's Fernando Alonso and Sauber's Felipe Massa sandwiched between him and pacesetter Schumacher. Massa was the sole Sauber at work on the Spanish circuit while Alonso was joined by test driver Franck Montagy who, despite setting the slowest time of the day, notched up 107 laps.
With Jaguar's Christian Klien injuring himself on a cooling fan during testing yesterday, test driver Bjorn Wirdheim stepped in to take over duties. The Swede completed 105 laps and finished the day sixth, over two seconds off the pace of Schumacher.
