Schu tips Jenson to win races
Six-time world champion Michael Schumacher has given Britain's Jenson Button a huge vote of confidence on the eve of the United States Grand Prix. Schumacher says it's not a case of if Jenson can win a grand prix, but when it will happen
Speaking at Indianapolis on Thursday, Schumacher believes it is only a matter of time before Button joins the list of grand prix winners with BAR-Honda.
"I think where he is, with the possibilities he has, he is just looking forward to the moment when it will happen," said Schumacher. "Racing is like sport, you can never predict when it will happen. I believe is very motivated rather due to the fact he hasn't done it yet."
Talking about his own season, Schumacher revealed both he and the team harboured pre-season doubts about the F2004 and whether it was good enough for him to win another title this year.
"We didn't anticipate to win as many races as we have," said Michael. "Going back to January testing, we were very pessimistic on this season. We thought it was going to be a very, very tough one - not going to be the way it has gone. So we're obviously very happy.
"We have done a beautiful car, which at presentation everybody felt it was not really a big obvious step. It just looked sort of similar to the old one, but on the circuits it performed very well."
