Ferrari and Schuey make (more) history

With Rubens Barrichello winning the race, it was pretty much a perfect race for the Italian team. Ross Brawn, Ferrari's technical director, described it as "a dream end to the season."

Schumacher becomes the only man in history to win the title on six occasions (1994, '95, 2000, '01, '02, '03), eclipsing the record of five he previously shared with the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio.

In addition, Schumacher has tied Fangio's record of claiming the championship on four consecutive seasons, a feat no driver has been able to achieve in 45 years. The Argentinian won the title every year from 1954 until 1957.

Ferrari also built on its records with its 13th Constructors' title. Its nearest rival in this category is Williams, which has 'only' won the crown on nine occasions. Ferrari has now claimed the Constructors' crown for five consecutive years, eclipsing the previous record run of four in a row set by McLaren (1988 until 1991).
