Tatiana Calderon gets second F1 test outing with Sauber at Fiorano

Tatiana Calderon will be back behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car when she tests for Sauber at the Fiorano circuit this weekend

Calderon, the Swiss squad's test driver, will run in a V8-powered Sauber C32 - the team's 2013 F1 car - at Ferrari's test track on Saturday and Sunday.

The Colombian made her debut in a Formula 1 car at the end of last month when she drove this year's C37 at the Mexico City circuit.

Sauber said the Fiorano test "will represent an excellent opportunity for Tatiana to advance in her learning process and development".

"It is great to be behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car again so quickly after my debut earlier this month," Calderon said. "This next step will be even more special.

"It will be exciting to gain further experience and to learn more about these cars. I look forward to continuing to work, develop, and improve together with the team."

Sauber team principal Frederic Vasseur added: "We are pleased to have Tatiana Calderon completing two days of testing at Fiorano.

"She impressed the team with her dedication, focus, and skills at a recent promotional event.

"We are convinced that Tatiana has what it takes to drive at the highest level and look forward to seeing her progress and gain more experience at the upcoming test."
