F1 title rivals Hamilton and Rosberg divided on US GP tyre choice
Formula 1 title rivals Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton have taken different tyre choices for the forthcoming United States Grand Prix
Rosberg has opened up a 33-point cushion over Mercedes F1 team-mate Hamilton, following a run of four wins in the last five races, although Austin is a track where Hamilton has triumphed three times in its four-year grand prix history.
Hamilton has chosen three sets of Pirelli's medium compound and four soft, while Rosberg has gone for two mediums and five softs, with both taking six sets of the supersoft.
Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo will have four medium, three soft and seven supersoft sets available, while their Ferrari rivals Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen have each chosen just one set of mediums each, along with five soft and seven supersoft.
At Williams there are also slights discrepancies, with Valtteri Bottas selecting three medium and three soft, while team-mate Felipe Massa has gone for a two-four split on medium and soft, with both taking seven supersoft.
Force India pair Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez are also slightly divided.
Like Bottas, Hulkenberg has gone for a three-three-seven configuration across medium, soft and supersoft, while Perez has chosen three medium, two soft and eight supersoft.
Perez has selected more sets of Pirelli's softest available compound for this race than any other driver.
