Valtteri Bottas set for new deal with Williams Formula 1 team
Valtteri Bottas is ready to commit his immediate Formula 1 future to Williams, as talks continue to finalise a contract for 2015
The Grove-based team has an option on Bottas for next year and, after a successful campaign so far, is determined to keep him on board alongside Felipe Massa - who has a deal in place.
Although other teams are understood to be interested in Bottas longer term, the Finn has made clear that he is thinking only of a future with Williams for now.
When asked about his feelings for the future as he closes on a fresh deal, Bottas said: "Personally I don't see a reason to look around at this moment.
"But it's too early to say - it's better to wait for confirmation, and we will speak when we have something to say."
Williams has enjoyed a return to form this season, with its switch from Renault to Mercedes power leaving it in a tight fight with Ferrari for third place in the constructors' championship.

With stable regulations heading into 2015, Bottas sees no reason why Williams cannot keep up its form for a while.
"I really think this team is not at its peak yet," he said. "I really think the direction is right, and I am confident this team can still be better than what we have seen this year. So that's why I am really confident here with me continuing."
He also insisted that any thoughts about what to do for 2016 - when there could be vacancies at Ferrari, Red Bull or McLaren - were not for him to worry about right now.
"I have a good few guys behind me thinking about those things so I should not really plan that far away," he said.
"I should just focus on this moment, this year, then once we know what is going to happen next year we can focus for that, and then we will see."
