Ricciardo hopeful of regular points finishes in remaining F1 races
Daniel Ricciardo is hopeful that he can fight regularly for points for the rest of the season after scoring in three of the last four races
After a barren spell of nine races, Scuderia Toro Rosso has picked up four top 10 finishes since the August break through Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne.
The Australian believes that this form can continue even though there are no significant updates planned for the car.
"I hope so," he said when asked by AUTOSPORT if he expects to continue to fight for points finishes.
"We started off on the right foot after the break and we hope to continue it.
"In terms of updates, we don't have anything for this weekend.
"We might have one little bit before the end of the year, but it's not up to us just to squeeze everything out of the car."
Ricciardo added that he's confident that the team will be strong in Korea this weekend after enjoying its best performance of the season here last year.
Jaime Alguersuari finished seventh, with team-mate Sebastien Buemi ninth last year.
"If our performance here last year is anything to go by, then we should definitely be in contention for points again.
"They had the best team result of the season and hopefully we can be up there again."
Ricciardo finished 10th last weekend in Japan and said after the race that he is confident of continuing with the team next year.
But he knows that he must continue to deliver in the final five races of the season and admitted that he has not yet had any feedback from Red Bull junior programme boss Helmut Marko
"It was definitely a step in the right direction, but we can't rest on that," said Ricciardo.
"We still want to achieve more so hopefully we can keep getting better.
"I haven't had any feedback. But normally, no news is good news with Dr Marko so there are positive signs."
