"We think it will be interesting to back off and see if we can recover these tyres," Alonso is told.
Alonso's reply is blunt in tone but we can't really make much of it out.

Big lock-up for Sainz coming into Club.

Nice little on-track squabble between Leclerc - who's clearly recovered from his spin - and Alonso, who go side-by-side into Copse.

Gary Anderson has spotted Red Bull running different downforce levels for its two cars. Here is Ricciardo's front wing, which is in lower-downforce spec than Verstappen's

If it feels like F1 has been non-stop of late, it's not just you. This is the first year F1 has experimented with a triple-header and, by the sounds of things, it might not be something we see again in 2019.
Triple-header race sequence unlikely to return on 2019 F1 calendar
Formula 1 teams do not expect a repeat of this season's triple-header in 2019

Information
Honda confirms Gasly's issue was with the car's power unit, which was a high-mileage one and due to be changed overnight anyway.
Every driver except Vandoorne (and Gasly, Verstappen and Grosjean, but they're out-out) is on track right now, with under 20 minutes of the session remaining.

While we're in long-run mode, here's a run down of the current order: 1 Vettel 1m27.552s, 2 Hamilton, 3 Bottas, 4 Raikkonen, 5 Ricciardo, 6 Alonso, 7 Hulkenberg, 8 Ocon, 9 Perez, 10 Leclerc, 11 Sainz, 12 Magnussen, 13 Gasly, 14 Ericsson, 15 Stroll, 16 Sirotkin, 17 Vandoorne, 18 Hartley, 19 Verstappen (no time)

Good to see football fever's not just gripping us!
Raikkonen later had Stroll pull out abruptly in front of him in the pitlane.

Vettel's end-of-lap time - a 1m32.843s - confirms beyond doubt cars are onto long runs.

Ferrari's information would suggest that we're into long-run territory. Those have been delayed a bit by the stoppage for Verstappen's off.

"Another good lap mate," Alonso is told.
Another improvement for Alonso means he's up to sixth now, 1.754s off the pace.
Green flag
There was a yellow flag out for that, but Gasly's thoughtful parking means the car is quickly behind the wall and the track is clear again.
Radio Comms
Gasly switches the car off at Turn 4. Sounds like he said 'power unit'.
Crash
Gasly has pulled over out of harm's way.
Hamilton goes up to second on a second push lap, and is within two tenths of Vettel's time now.
Decent effort from Alonso, who jumps up to seventh and splits the Force Indias.
Behind Ricciardo, there's then a gap of a second back to the two Force Indias of Ocon and Perez.
Ricciardo improves on his soft tyre run, but he's more than eight tenths slower than Vettel still.
