Summary

Status: Stopped

Raikkonen: "We made a good start but got blocked a bit. I struggled following people. I was alright on my own. A bit of luck with the safety car but we needed the soft tyres to really go for it. I had much more speed than Valtteri but it's difficult when you get close".
Bottas: "The race was going pretty well for us. We were looking strong until the guys stopped with the safety car. We were in trouble at the end. It's disappointing. It felt like we deserved the victory".
Ricciardo: "I don't seem to win boring races! That was unexpected. Yesterday we thought we might be starting from the back of the grid".
Raikkonen looks faintly amused actually.
He sensibly elects not to ask the Finns if they want a swig.
Ricciardo glugs champagne from his own boot.
Oh no! It's shoey time...
Bottas looks gutted to have lost that race. He must have thought he had it in the bag before that safety car intervention.

Ricciardo looking emotional as the Australian national anthem rings out around the podium.

Remember he almost didn't make it out for qualifying after engine failure in FP3. What a turnaround for his weekend!
Ricciardo enjoys some well-earned man hugs with his Red Bull mechanics.

"BLEEP. The safety car was so unlucky for us!" Bottas annoyed that one got away.

"Yes boys! Holy shit!" Ricciardo is absolutely made up with that drive, and well he should be!
Out of the points: 11 Ocon; 12 Perez; 13 Vandoorne; 14 Stroll; 15 Sirotkin; 16 Ericsson; 17 Grosjean; 18 Gasly; 19 Leclerc. Retirement: Hartley
Result: 1 Ricciardo; 2 Bottas; 3 Raikkonen; 4 Hamilton; 5 Verstappen; 6 Hulkenberg; 7 Alonso; 8 Vettel; 9 Sainz; 10 Magnussen
Verstappen's 10s penalty demotes him to fifth, behind Hamilton.
Bottas hangs onto second ahead of Raikkonen and Verstappen.
Sainz can't quite get close enough to Vettel to take eighth.
Ricciardo wins the Chinese Grand Prix!
"Let's give it the best lap of our race now mate," McLaren tells Alonso - possibly trying to pre-empt a penalty?

Race control says the incident between Alonso and Vettel - who had to take to the grass - has "been noted".
"Nice work Fernando," says McLaren. "I think he was too optimistic," says Alonso.
Ricciardo is 8.4s clear in the lead.
Final lap.
"You can't just run me off the track like that!" Vettel complains over the radio of Alonso.
Vettel is now going to have Sainz on his tail, and lapping much faster.
Alonso attacks Vettel, the Ferrari is forced wide and down to eighth as Alonso takes seventh!
"The sound and the feeling is quite worrying," 13th-placed Vandoorne tells McLaren. "We see an issue but it's OK to continue," is the reply.
"I'm losing so much grip behind him!" Raikkonen complains.
Vettel locks up into Turn 6 and is under real pressure from Alonso for seventh now.
Raikkonen is right there but can he make a move on Bottas before the end or before Verstappen takes them both?
