Summary

Status: Stopped
That was a dramatic end to the Monte Carlo Grand Prix. You can recap, and you will need to, with our conclusive report below.

In the meantime, thanks for joining, and don't forget to tune in at 5pm UK for the Indy 500. Maybe Fernando Alonso will have a better time in Indianapolis than Jenson Button had in Monaco...
Sebastian Vettel wins 2017 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix
"Where's the party," asks Rosberg.

"You tell me, you've won here more than me," replies Vettel, always good for a quip.

"We'll talk later," says a secretive Rosberg.
Ricciardo discusses the moment he hit the wall after the safety car.

"I didn't enjoy that," says the Aussie. "I wasn't sure if I damaged anything. These tyres are like driving on ice when you get a safety car."
You can almost hear Kimi forcing the words out of his mouth, he's not a happy camper. Not that anyone in Monaco is camping!

"Hard to say really," says Raikkonen. "It's second place and it doesn't feel good. This is how it is sometimes."
"Unbelievable," says Vettel. "It was a very intense race. I was hoping to have a better launch at the start.

"There was a place in the first stint that was really tricky where the tyres were slipping.

"At the restart it was really difficult with the tyres, but I held on and it's a fantastic weekend for Ferrari."
"It's amazing racing and great to see it from this perspective," says Rosberg. It would be nice to have him out there.
Brilliantly, Nico Rosberg will do the podium interviews. Yes, the reigning world champion! Shame Hamilton isn't up there for a grilling...
The champagne is sprayed. Vettel directs his straight in Kimi's face. If that's not ironic given where the two started the race, it's difficult to know what is.

No win for 16 years, Ferrari (apart from Raikkonen) and Vettel look delighted.
Raikkonen gets a trophy and looks unhappy bout it.

Conversely, as usual, Ricciardo had a big grin. Christian Horner applauds.

Raikkonen looks displeased. Or is that his normal expression. Hard to tell.
Next up, the podium. It's been a while since a Mercedes driver was missing from the top three.

Here's the drivers who didn't end the race in the way they had hoped, or at all:

Stroll (brake temperature)
Kvyat (accident)
Vandoorne (accident)
Ericsson (accident)
Button (accident)
Wehrlein (accident)
Hulkenberg (gearbox)
Vettel emerges from his Ferrari and almost instantly dives into his mechanics. This win is a big deal for the Tifosi who have streamed in from Italy to watch this weekend.
Here's the finishing positions in the 2017 Monte Carlo Grand Prix:

1 Vettel
2 Raikkonen
3 Ricciardo
4 Bottas
5 Verstappen
6 Sainz
7 Hamilton
8 Grosjean
9 Massa
10 Magnussen
11 Palmer
12 Ocon
13 Perez
"Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes," says Vettel, as he scores Ferrari's first win at Monaco since 2001.

"The two laps with old tyres I gave it everything I had," he adds. Effort well and truly worth it.
Sebastian Vettel wins the Monaco Grand Prix - Ferrari's first win here since 2001!
Hamilton refuses to give up his pursuit of Sainz in sixth, and confirms so over the radio.

Sergio Perez sets the fastest lap of the race.
Final lap for Vettel...
Two laps to go: 1 Vettel, 2 Raikkonen, 3 Ricciardo, 4 Bottas, 5 Verstappen, 6 Sainz, 7 Hamilton, 8 Grosjean, 9 Massa, 10 Magnussen.
Vettel's lead is up to five seconds, while Raikkonen has let Ricciardo slip into DRS range - although that doesn't really mean anything around here.

The attrition has helped to put Massa and Magnussen in the final scoring spots in the top 10.
They're dropping like flies, we're down to 13 cars still circulating in today's race.
Stroll has retired after coming into the pits. He complained of brake temperature issues before and that's what has put him out.
Vettel has a three-second lead over Raikkonen now, and Raikkonen has Ricciardo, Bottas and Verstappen in his mirrors. Verstappen looks up for it at the back of this train.
With that, Perez's lengthy streak of being in the points, is unlikely to continue today.
Perez has pitted. His front wing was damaged.
Perez has divided down the inside of Kvyat at Rascasse and there was contact. Kvyat is out.
Incident between Wehrlein and Button will be investigated after the race.
Bottas is told to make an engine settings change "If you're comfortable". His response is "Does it look comfortable?"
Vandoorne hits the wall at Ste Devote

Magnussen is told to "push like an animal" in his pursuit of the 11th placed Massa.
It's hard to tell whether Hamilton is being towed by Sainz, he's that close.

Sainz is just holding on to sixth as it stands.
