First times are in, and it's Kimi Raikkonen fastest on a 1m17.110s ahead of Carlos Sainz Jr by a second. Both used ultrasofts.
Just over half the field has been out for an installation lap so far, with no times set yet.
"Remember if the revs are difficult, come off and try again," Red Bull tells Ricciardo. "If it's difficult a second time, go deep on the throttle."
The session gets going, with Charles Leclerc first out.
