Pace-wise, Verstappen is still going faster than Bottas, 0.4s quicker than the Mercedes driver did on that previous lap.
Pit stop
Leclerc's in too, relinquishing fifth place for fresh boots.
Pit stop
Stroll now comes in to pit, then, leaving Verstappen the last of the front runners yet to come in.
Radio Comms
"Tyres still okay, just managing the left front a little bit," Verstappen reports. He's got an 11s buffer over Stroll in second.
Information
Bottas has now ended up with a 3.6s lead over Hamilton on lap 17, thanks to stopping a lap sooner.
Albon isn't hanging around this afternoon as he keeps his foot planted to power around the outside of Raikkonen at Copse for P15. The brave move pays off.
Pit stop
Hulkenberg now pits for new tyres, coming out well ahead of Ricciardo to cover that threat off.
Stopwatch
Bottas has done a 1m30.971s. A timely switch for fresh tyres, then.
So, Verstappen now leads from Hulkenberg and Stroll. The Racing Points kept their distance, and should be able to go deeper into the race on the mediums.
Pit stop
Ricciardo drops out of the top six and pits too.
Pit stop
It seems that Verstappen's speed has really pressured Mercedes into stopping, as Hamilton is set to come in for fresh boots.
Max, meanwhile, is really giving Lewis a run for his money.
Pit stop
Bottas now pits, calling it a day on those mediums.
Pit stop
Norris the latest to pit for hard tyres at the end of lap 12 and returns to the action ahead of Gasly and Albon.
Radio Comms
"The rears are finished," Hamilton says. He's got Verstappen on him like a rash at the moment.
Quote
The Dutch driver is now in DRS range of Hamilton, but he's told he's "a little bit close" for tyres. Verstappen refutes that, suggesting it's the only chance to clear the Mercs!
Gasly, on the fresh hard tyres, gets ahead of Raikkonen - who is yet to pit - at Stowe to move up to P14. Both Williams drivers and Magnussen have also opted for early stops for the hard tyre.
Looking at the laptimes, Verstappen did a 1m32.4 last time round - the Mercedes cars in the 1m32.6s bracket.
Verstappen is slowly reeling Hamilton in, crucially on those harder tyres. The Mercedes drivers are having to manage tyres already.
Pit stop
A lap later Gasly also pits, having been in seventh, and is joined by Giovinazzi for a switch to fresh hard tyres.
It'll be interesting to see how early the rest of the field switches to the hard tyre, after Albon's early stop.
Pit stop
Albon is the first to pit at the end of lap six, having been runnning behind Norris in ninth place, and takes on the hard tyres.
Information
Bottas has now scarpered out of DRS range from Hamilton, but he's having to lift through Copse to put the left-front under less strain.
Vettel, on his recovery drive, is up to 18th having got past Latifi and Raikkonen and is chasing Russell now.
Radio Comms
"So, front left critical - also rear left," Bottas is told. That'll be temperature at this stage, but still - it begins.
Twitter
Times at the front within the 1m32s - Verstappen was slightly faster than Hamilton on that previous tour.
We're on the fourth lap now - Hamilton's just lurking in DRS range of Bottas, but seems to be flitting in and out of range over the lap.
Replays of the race start confirm Vettel spun all by himself at the first corner. When it rains it pours for the Ferrari driver at the moment. He was inches away from clattering into Sainz during the spin too.
Very good traction from Verstappen off the line, given the harder compound. That Honda engine managing the torque very well.
Stopwatch
First fastest lap to Bottas, a 1m31.384s. DRS is now enabled.
Lap 2, then - Hamilton's within DRS range of Bottas and he'll be hoping to hang in there once it's activated. Verstappen's in his customary P3.
Strong starts for both Giovinazzi and Magnussen who gained four positions each on the opening lap. Magnussen is up to P13 and Giovinazzi is P15.
Stroll's cleared Ricciardo for P5, and the Racing Points are line astern.
Hamilton throws the kitchen sink at Bottas into Brooklands, but the Finn hangs on to the lead!
Disaster start for Vettel! He spins around on the exit of the first corner and is now in last place - was there contact to trigger that spin?
Verstappen gets Hulkenberg at the start, as Bottas preserves the lead!
Lights green
And the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix is go, go, go!
The drivers line up on the grid, ready to get this 70th Anniversary party started...
We've got track temps of 42.7 degrees C, so that's quite hot. Wouldn't want to walk that barefooted...
