Christian Horner tells Sky Sports that - according to Red Bull's data - his team is giving away 0.9 seconds to Mercedes on the straights here. Ricciardo is currently the fastest Red Bull, 0.6s down on Hamilton.
Still no time for Alonso, who (hopefully) starts a flying lap now.
As Raikkonen rejoins, we get a replay of him thumping the inside kerb at Brooklands, which spun the Ferrari around.
The Ferrari is on the grass on the inside of Luffield, so perhaps he lost it at the previous corner (Brooklands).
Vettel is the latest driver to take third behind the two Mercedes drivers - half a second down on Hamilton's pace.
Ricciardo has just had a trip through the gravel after getting a big snap of oversteer on the exit of Luffield, and he reports that he's coming back to the pits.
Closing the DRS between turn-in and apex, which Grosjean was supposed to be doing, might buy you a few thousandths in qualifying. But there’s risks, as we have seen. And if it’s marginal there’s no way you will use DRS here in the race. It’s meant to help overtaking, so seems a bit pointless having it for T1.
No messing about from Hamilton once the VSC is over - he goes 0.367s faster than Bottas to top the times with a little more than 20 minutes remaining in FP1.
The view of the Haas being recovered, from our trackside experts Edd Straw and Gary Anderson.

Most people have come into the pits while we're under VSC, but not Hamilton: "I need to stay out, I'm not comfortable with the car."
Grosjean apologises - "The car is destroyed" - and he reckons that by hitting the bump in Turn 1 he "missed the button" to switch it off.
Virtual safety car deployed for the crashed Haas at the start of the lap.
Verstappen moves back up to third - he's the only driver on track running mediums at the moment.
Bottas goes faster again - 1m27.854s at the head of the field.
Lots of personal best sector times lighting up the timing screens at the moment as everyone gets to work on their second sets of tyres. Almost everyone is on softs now.
Magnussen and Sainz slot into the tail end of the top 10 - ninth and 10th.
Hamilton crosses the line just 0.010s slower than Bottas. A comfortable Mercedes 1-2 at the moment.
We're starting to get a bit more action on track again, and Ocon is the latest driver to improve, in seventh.
Bottas lowers the benchmark by seven tenths with a 1m28.143s.
Still no time for Alonso, who is back in the pits, but Vandoorne improves to go eighth in the other McLaren.
Only Gasly and Alonso on track at the moment. Alonso has five laps to his name and a fallout with Magnussen, but he is yet to set a time.
The Red Bull looks most confident going through Turn 1 with DRS open, but that might lead to a compromise elsewhere in terms of setup. Mercedes and Ferrari have kept it closed - maybe that’s a good approach, sort the car then try it open on the second set of tyres. The Ferrari is interesting and doesn’t seem to be handling the bumps so well.
It's the 40-minute 'hand your tyres back' mark, so here's an order rundown: 1 Hamilton, 2 Vettel, 3 Verstappen, 4 Raikkonen, 5 Bottas, 6 Ricciardo, 7 Ocon, 8 Grosjean, 9 Perez, 10 Magnussen, 11 Stroll, 12 Leclerc, 13 Sainz, 14 Hartley, 15 Vandoorne, 16 Ericsson, 17 Gasly, 18 Hulkenberg, 19 Sirotkin, 20 Alonso.
Early pacesetter Verstappen improves, he's currently third and half a second down on Hamilton.
