Hulkenberg is quickly on the radio to tell Renault he's OK after that nasty impact, which has done massive damage to the right-hand side of the car.

Hulkenberg looks like he's gone into the wall on the climb out of the final corner onto the kinked start straight.

Sainz gets between the Haas pair into fourth.

Haas is now 2-3 on the timing screen, with Kevin Magnussen third.

Morning pacesetter Max Verstappen won't be out just yet - a lot of work going on on his Red Bull in the garage.
Nico Hulkenberg and Fernando Alonso have also done early times, and are sixth and seventh.
Romain Grosjean now goes second, just 0.367s behind Raikkonen - but on a compound one step softer.
Stoffel Vandoorne briefly goes second, before Carlos Sainz Jr pinches it from him. The Renault is 0.7s off pacesetter Raikkonen.

Welcome back to our live coverage of Brazilian Grand Prix practice. Very little to choose between Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes this morning, so let's hope for something similarly tantalising in this session.

"Stroll just got in my way," Norris reports as they run side by side on the main straight.
Under five minutes left now, and it is indeed high-fuel runs for not just the frontrunners, but rather everyone.

Verstappen, Vettel and Hamilton are all out on track now, but all three are on used supersofts, which suggests that it's a high-fuel run and we won't see any further improvements from them in FP1.
