Hulkenberg is back out on hypersofts and his first flying lap is a 1m20.043s. Bottas also out again.
Bottas returns to the pits after what was a decently long run on those mediums. He's quietly accumulated 56 laps so far, more than anyone else.
Stopwatch
Purple in sector one, green in sector two, green in sector three: Vettel goes faster still and clocks a 1m18.414s.
1m27.958s that time around for Vettel. Looks like another alternating push/no-push run. Yes: he's purple in sector one now.
Stopwatch
We have a new leader: Vettel nails a 1m18.666s on supersofts.
Vettel back out and going purple in sector one...

Kubica elevates Williams to eighth with a new best of 1m20.202s on softs.
Vettel popped in a personal best of 1m19.423s on supersofts - still no movement from third place - while we were considering our layering strategy for our next visit outdoors.

Here's the evidence that backs up that weather report
Weather check: there's little prospect of the clouds dispersing in the immediate future. Temperatures have reached a plateau now of 15.6C (track) and 11C (ambient). Forget the advice of Phil Collins: you will need a coat.
Kubica sallies forth on soft tyres. He's currently tenth overall, 0.332s off Gasly.
Hulkenberg returns after his brief outing on Pirelli's softest rubber. Ericsson is back out on supersofts.
Imagine what Mercedes could do on the hypersofts. Possibly the team is doing just that. But it isn't going to show anybody else just yet.

Ericsson is wheeled back into his box after a productive run
Stopwatch
Boom! 1m18.684s for Hulkenberg. That shades Vandoorne by 0.171s. Advantage Enstone!
Hulkenberg now 0.011s off Vandoorne's benchmark lap, using the same tyres. Renault works team versus Renault customer. Game on...
Hulkenberg did a 1m18.866s straight out of the box. His next lap is a 1m34.166s and we can confirm he's on the hypersofts.

Hulkenberg is back out, we think on hypersofts. Gasly has returned to the fray on supersofts.
Ericsson returns to the pitlane, no doubt to a fusillade of high-fives.

Vandoorne's had a productive morning so far, but McLaren is still well behind Toro Rosso in the mileage stakes - and the team admits it has been impressed by the performance former engine partner Honda has managed so far with Toro Rosso:

So we're now in the unusual position of Sauber (seventh) being ahead of Mercedes (eighth) on the timesheet. No sign of panic in the Mercedes pit, though, as Bottas continues to circulate on mediums in the 1m22s bracket.
Another good lap from Ericsson and he's up to seventh overall with a 1m20.163s.
Ericsson is out on supersofts and improves his personal best to 1m20.683, reducing today's competitive spread to 1.828s from top to bottom.

That was another relatively short run for McLaren – Vandoorne is back, bringing his daily total to 41 laps.

Vandoorne is out again and flashes past in a 1m20.001s. He's on the purple-banded ultrasoft at the moment.
Information
Track temperature now 15.6C. That's nearly 10C down on the daily peak half an hour ago.
Vettel and Perez are also back in. Verstappen carries on lapping consistently in the 1m20s on his mediums.

Perez has just set a personal best, bringing himself up to fifth in the Force India
Ericsson brings Sauber's daily total to 28 laps and heads to the garage.
Perez goes by in 1m20.130s, a new personal best that elevates him to fifth at Magnussen's expense.
Perez is on the move again - two green sectors...
Bottas has gone out on a set of mediums then returned to the pitlane for a series of rolling burnouts before heading back out again. Gasly has also parked - despite running ultrasofts he didn't improve on his earlier time.
Hulkenberg also back in the pits, a little earlier than we might have expected.
1m20.312s for Perez. That's a new personal best but he remains sixth. Magnussen is pitting in the Haas.
