42 min: Perez is back out as teams continue to push forward with long runs earlier than the customary slow start to first practice.
42 min: So the order is Hamilton up top with 1m16.080s, with Rosberg second, Webber third, Kobayashi fourth and Vettel in fifth.
41 min: Webber is into third spot after getting a clean lap, with a time of 1m16.347s.
41 min: Meanwhile, Vettel is up to the fourth spot vacated by Rosberg, with a time of 1m16.565s.
40 min: Rosberg moves up two spots and is second only to Hamilton with a lap time of 1m16.153s.
40 min: McLaren is wary of some rain on the radar at the end of the session, telling Button to run a little earlier than planned.
40 min: Rosberg is fourth in the classification but is set to improve on his latest lap.
39 min: Webber briefly lost control of the rear thanks to the damp grass. He is back underway and continues on into another lap.
39 min: Webber straight-lines the chicane at Turn 3 before half-spinning. He does well to control the RB8 and continues.

35 min: Webber locks up slightly at the Casino hairpin on his way to 1m17.095s and seventh place on the timesheet.
34 min: Alonso heads out of the pits again with a practice start. The Spaniard has been busy so far, chalking up 14 laps.
34 min: Maldonado moves up to eighth spot with a lap of 1m17.180s in the Williams.
34 min: Vettel is more sedate with his familiar slow build-up. His lap time of 1m21.069s puts him 20th for now.
33 min: Webber crosses the line in 1m17.671s and moves into 10th position.
33 min: Webber and Vettel are now on track for Red Bull. The former is about to complete his first timed lap.
32 min: Brakes are a key challenge around this circuit, with several big stops at the end of the long straights.

32 min: Adjustments to the front brake ducts on Button's car, with McLaren adding some tape to reduce the cooling in today's overcast conditions.

29 min: Schumacher improved again on his final lap before pitting. He is into fourth, behind Hamilton, Kobayashi and Rosberg, with a time of 1m16.947s.
29 min: Kovalainen continues to explore the off-track areas, cutting the grass at the Turn 8 chicane.
27 min: Senna posts an improvement of 1m19.326s and he is 14th in the classification.
27 min: 1m16.080s is the new benchmark as Hamilton gets his McLaren up to speed.
26 min: Hamilton is up to second fastest in his McLaren and on another quick lap.
26 min: Drivers are warned of a slippery surface through the final part of the lap, with Kovalainen and Kobayshi recently cutting the tricky chicane
26 min: Schumacher moves up another spot to sixth with a lap of 1m17.707s.
25 min: Hulkenberg is on track for Force India and he is now into his first timed lap.
25 min: Kobayashi completes a lap in 1m17.341s, going third fastest in his Sauber.
24 min: In fact, the German comes through to complete a second timed lap and moves up to seventh with a time of 1m17.870s.
24 min: Michael Schumacher has completed a timed lap and rounds out the top 10 for now.
