Lap 17: Di Resta may be struggling with traction, but nevertheless he posts his best lap of the race so far, as Kovalainen pits from 12th.

Lap 16: Rapid stop from McLaren and Hamilton is easily away ahead of Alonso.
Lap 16: Alguersuari rejoins the race, as Kobayashi passes Trulli to take 17th place.

Lap 16: Alguersuari pits from 12th place in the other Toro Rosso, and that promotes Kovalainen for the moment.
Lap 15: Buemi has clear track in ninth but being holed up behind di Resta cost him a lot of time. He is a whopping 14 seconds behind Sutil.
Lap 15: McLaren report KERS problems for Button, which has put Webber on his case at this stage.
Lap 15: But Button comes back at the Red Bull and re-takes third with some fine driving in the twisting complex at Turn 14.

Lap 15: Webber remains all over the gearbox of Button and finally sends his move into Turn 11...
Lap 15: So Buemi wins that little battle and is now secure in ninth for the time being. Di Resta drops to 10th, with Petrov 11th and Alguersuari 12th.
Lap 14: Di Resta comes back at the Toro Rosso at Turn 10 and briefly retakes ninth, but runs wide and Buemi slices past once again in a great scrap.
Lap 14: Webber is in the DRS zone on Button now but just can't make a move on Button at the end of the second zone on this lap.
Lap 14: Towards the back, the Sauber pair have swapped positions. Kobayashi is now ahead of team-mate Perez. They run in 19th and 20th.
Lap 13: Buemi makes his move at the end of the long straight and he takes Paul di Resta fairly easily for ninth place.

Lap 13: Senna has passed Trulli and Glock to take 16th position in the Renault.
Lap 12: Button reports a problem to his McLaren team and Webber has closed on the third-place man.
Lap 12: Kovalainen is doing a great job to hang onto the Toro Rosso ahead, but perhaps even more impressive is the fact he is pulling away from the Williams drivers.
Lap 12: Massa is a lonely fifth in his Ferrari, having fallen 3.6 seconds behind Webber. His pace is almost a second slower than team-mate Alonso.
Lap 12: Petrov remains in 11th with Alguersuari just over one second behind him in 12th, then a further six seconds back is Kovalainen.
Lap 12: Di Resta is now almost 11 seconds behind team-mate Sutil, with Buemi still in attendance.
Lap 11: Ninth placed Paul di Resta tells Force India over the team radio that he is beginning to lose traction as the rear tyres start to fade.
Lap 11: Little change up front for the moment with Hamilton leading Alonso by 2.6 seconds. Button is now 2s clear of Webber in third and fourth.
Lap 11: Senna is about four second ahead of the Sauber pair in 18th.
Lap 11: Perez and Kobayashi finally make it past both HRT drivers in a tight move to take 19th and 20th positions.
Lap 10: Di Resta is now some nine seconds down on team-mate Sutil, with Buemi still looking to find a way past. This is the battle for ninth.
Lap 10: Sutil remains in chase of Schumacher over seventh, but there is little top speed difference between the two Mercedes-powered cars.
Lap 9: Kobayashi will be next on the tail of the Virgin driver and should be through before the end of the lap.
Lap 9: Hamilton responds to a recent surge of pace from Alonso, opening the lead gap to 2.6 seconds with a new fastest lap.
