Lap 40: Kovalainen is into the pits for his second stop from 13th position.
Lap 40: Webber is now right behind Button on the road as he enjoys a tyre advantage over the McLaren man.
Lap 39: It's a very quick stop from Renault and Petrov is back out, but is now out of the points.
Lap 39: Hamilton's lead is now 3.1 seconds as McLaren and Ferrari ponder their options for the final pitstop.
Lap 39: Kobayashi follows his team-mate through and into 11th place, as Petrov brings his Renault into the pits.
Lap 39: Perez has passed Petrov and the Russian is losing ground quickly.
Lap 39: Webber sets the fastest lap on fresh softs, but he will have to make a late stop for the harder rubber.
Lap 38: Alonso continues to keep the pressure on Hamilton, with Ferrari hoping the McLaren will be forced into an earlier stop for the final time.
Lap 38: Senna comes in and hurries out of the pits, having been handed a drive-through penalty for ignoring blue flags.
Lap 38: Barrichello has passed Kovalainen to take over 13th place.
Lap 37: The stewards are being kept busy this evening! Senna is also under investigation for ignoring blue flags.
Lap 37: Webber sets the fastest final sector but will need to push to the limit to make that aggressive three-stop plan work out. He's now sixth.
Lap 37: Petrov is 10th with Perez 11th, Kobayashi 12th, Kovalainen 13th and Barrichello is 14th after that recent stop.
Lap 36: Button pits for the harder tyres, setting him up for a run to the flag.
Lap 36: So di Resta is back into ninth place with those in front of him having stopped, but he is a massive 52 seconds behind Michael Schumacher.
Lap 36: Alguersuari comes into the pits for his second stop from 17th position, but may find himself in again reasonably soon.
Lap 36: That puts Webber on course for a three-stop strategy, with a late change to the slower, harder compound.
Lap 36: Webber pits and curiously fits another set of soft tyres to his Red Bull.
Lap 35: Barrichello comes into the pits and takes on soft tyres. He was ninth but will fall back outside the points.
Lap 35: Di Resta allows Hamilton through down into Turn 5, with Alonso now looking to lap Senna.
Lap 35: Maldonado and Alguersuari are both under investigation for ignoring blue flags.
Lap 35: Hamilton is now closing on di Resta to lap the Force India.
Lap 34: Kobayashi comes into the pits from ninth, handing the spot to Barrichello for now.
Lap 34: Maldonado came out of the pits from that drive-through clearly fired up, but not paying attention for the second time in just a few laps is poor.
Lap 34: Hamilton now has traffic in the form of Senna, with the gap cut down to 4.4 seconds to Alonso.
Lap 34: But things aren't going smoothly for Barrichello's team-mate. Maldonado continues getting in the way of the leading cars and could soon find himself in trouble once again.
Lap 33: Alonso responds to Hamilton's recent speed, but the gap remains over five seconds to the leader.
Lap 33: Meantime, Barrichello's charge continues. He passes Petrov to take 10th. Amazing, after the weekend he has had.
Lap 33: Button has pulled a massive 5.9 seconds clear of that scrap, with reports from the pits that the KERS has returned on his McLaren.
Lap 32: Maldonado rejoined the race just behind Alguersuari, but quickly forces his way back past the Toro Rosso to take 16th.
Lap 32: Massa now finds himself behind the penalised Maldonado as traffic continues to hamper the leaders.
Lap 32: Hamilton is the fastest man on the track again, pulling to a 5.6 second lead over Alonso.
Lap 31: Maldonado comes into the pits to serve his drive-through penalty.
Lap 31: Kovalainen is 13th, with Maldonado 14th, Perez 15th, Senna 16th, and Alguersuari 17th.
Lap 31: Webber continues his efforts against Massa and may try to make his move in the second zone to avoid the now-popular comeback move.
Lap 30: Behind the top eight, Kobayashi is now ninth with Petrov 10th, Barrichello now charging in 11th and di Resta rejoined from his stop in 12th.
Lap 30: Webber makes his DRS move on Massa, barging his way past the Brazilian before the Ferrari takes the place back into Turn 11.
Lap 30: Hamilton presses home his advantage with a new best of 1m44.652s, pulling 4.6 seconds clear of Alonso's Ferrari.
Lap 30: Maldonado has been given a drive-through penalty for ignoring blue flags while being lapped.
