Lap 51: Five laps remain at Yas Marina.
Lap 49: Kobayashi is able to catch di Resta at half-a-second per lap, but he does not have enough laps left to mount a significant challenge.
Lap 49: Webber, who sets the fastest lap again, will profit from that Massa mistake to end up ahead of the Brazilian after his late stop.
Lap 49: Barrichello is 12th with Petrov 13th, Maldonado 14th, Alguersuari 15th, Senna 16th, Kovalainen 17th, Trulli 18th and Glock 19th.
Lap 49: Rosberg resumes in sixth, just ahead of Massa... who has spun away a lot of time with an off at Turn 1.
Lap 48: Kobayashi in 10th posts 1m43.521s and closes the gap to di Resta to 9.7s. Behind them, Perez is dropping away quickly in 11th.
Lap 48: Rosberg finally heads in for a late change to the harder tyres.
Lap 48: Button is now right with Rosberg, who is still to make his second stop in the Mercedes.
Lap 47: Webber does have a significant pace advantage over Massa at this stage, with the second Ferrari also struggling for speed on hard rubber.
Lap 47: But di Resta senses danger and again posts his best lap of the race so far. He extends that gap to 10.5 seconds.
Lap 47: Kobayashi moves through and Perez does not fight that one. The Japanese can now try and bridge the 10 second gap to di Resta.
Lap 47: Webber is quickly moving clear of Rosberg but needs some rapid laps to avoid falling behind Massa again when forced to make a final stop.
Lap 46: Kobayashi has been lapping consistently quicker than Sauber team-mate Perez over recent laps. They are tied together in 10th and 11th.
Lap 46: Alguersuari has caught Senna and the battle for 15th is over quickly, as the Spaniard breezes past down the long back-straight.
Lap 46: But Maldonado is going quicker without it! He posts 1m45.379s - his best so far - and remains in a lonely 14th place.
Lap 45: 10 laps remain in a largely processional Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Lap 45: Hamilton is clocked 5.3 seconds ahead of Alonso and lapping quicker than the Ferrari on the harder tyres.
Lap 45: A winglet from the front came off the Williams and was collected by Massa.
Lap 45: Webber makes his move in the second DRS zone and is now ahead of Rosberg.
Lap 45: Maldonado has pieces of his front wing coming away from the car - hardly surprising given the scrapes he has been involved in this evening.
Lap 45: Rosberg is now up to third but is yet to make his final stop. He has Webber on his tail now, in what is now a battle for finishing position.
Lap 44: Di Resta puts in his best lap of the race so far - 1m44.661s and extends the gap over 10th placed Perez to 9.3 seconds.
Lap 44: Trulli pits from 18th place for his second stop.
Lap 44: Not Ferrari's finest stop either, but Alonso's pace wasn't quite enough once Hamilton got his harder rubber up to speed.
Lap 43: Alguersuari is through on Kovalainen and takes 16th position.
Lap 43: Tyres on for Alonso but Hamilton breezes by on the main straight and back into the lead.
Lap 43: Kovalainen is slipping back through the pack after that second stop. He is 16th, but has Alguersuari climbing all over him.
Lap 43: Hamilton responds as commanded with his personal best sectors as Alonso pits behind a slow HRT.
Lap 43: Hamilton is told to push by his team, who reckon it will be very close with Alonso when the Ferrari stops.
Lap 42: Alonso only finds a tenth on this lap to make the gap 20.0 seconds, with Hamilton setting his best time on the medium compound.
Lap 42: There must be something with Williams and traffic today. Barrichello was all over the place there and should have let Hamilton through earlier.
Lap 42: Webber finally makes it past Button on DRS, but the Red Bull man will have to make a costly final stop.
Lap 42: Hamilton has been disputing track position with Barrichello, not helping his cause at all.
Lap 42: Kobayashi is 2.4s behind Perez in 11th with Barrichello 12th.
Lap 41: Alonso clocks the fastest final sector and is now 19.9 seconds clear of Hamilton on the road.
Lap 41: Di Resta in ninth has almost nine seconds over Perez, but the Mexican is now beginning to chip away at that gap.
Lap 41: Webber continues a DRS push against Button but still can't make it past despite the soft rubber advantage of the Red Bull.
Lap 41: Massa makes his stop for hard rubber, giving Ferrari another measure of pace ahead of Alonso's stop.
Lap 41: The Finn rejoins after a quick stop directly ahead of Massa.
Lap 40: It's another slick change of rubber from McLaren and Hamilton now needs some fast laps on those fresh, hard tyres.
